The 2024 iGeo - Maynooth and Dublin, Ireland

The 20th International Geography OlympiadTHE 20TH INTERNATIONAL GEOGRAPHY OLYMPIAD was held face-to-face by Ireland from 19 to 24 August. The event was taken place in Maynooth town, the University of Maynooth, Maynooth Post-Primary School and Trinity College Dublin. The gold medals were awarded in the opening ceremony of 2024 International Geographical Congress, which was held in DCU.

Maynooth is a university town in north County Kildare, Ireland. It is just 30 minutes from Dublin by train. There is plenty of space to meet, chat and relax at times other outside the IGEO events. It is just 30 minutes from Dublin by train. Students taking part in IGEO visited Dublin on two of the days of the event, such as Dublin Castle, Trinity College Dublin, the Museums of Ireland as well as free time in the city. The Local Organising Committee was led by Dr Susan Pike.
